Boredom is the state of being weary and restless due to lack of interest.There’s no excuse for boredom when you can watch anything at any time. Instead of sitting around your phone, getting lost in social media and news, you can watch animes.
And as a veteran who has been watching anime for quite a few years I have experienced boredom many times. I'm not saying that I've watched all the stuff present out there but I can confidently claim that I've watched enough.
Now to save your time and trouble of trying show after show until you find one that clicks, let me tell you guys my favourite shows those I have watched to get rid of boredom.
1. ANGEL BEATS
The story takes place in the afterlife and focuses on Otonashi, a boy who lost his memories after his death . He finds himself in a afterlife school and meets a girl named Yuri, who invites him to join the Afterlife Battlefront, an organization she leads which fights against the student council president Kanade Tachibana, a girl also known as Angel with supernatural powers.
2. RE ZERO
The story centers on Subaru Natsuki, a hikikomori who is transported to another world on his way home from a convenience store. I should not go any further with plot , you'll have to see it yourselves because it is mind boggling.
3. ODD TAXI
Set in a world of anthropomorphic animals, it tells the story of a taxi driver Odokawa(walrus), who converses with his passengers and learns about the mystey of a schoolgirl's strange disappearance that leads to him being followed by the police and yakuza. This anime is a perfect example of don't judge a book by it's cover.
4. STEINS GATE
The plot of this anime is set in year 2010 and follows Rintaro Okabe, who together with his friends accidentally discovers a time travel method , through which they can send text messages to the past, thereby altering the present.
5. BLACK CLOVER
The story follows Asta, a boy born without any magic power. This is unknown to the world he lives in because seemingly everyone has some sort of magic power. Along with his friends and captain from the Black Bulls, Asta aspires to become the next Wizard King.
6. CLASSROOM OF THE ELITE
The plot follows the perspective of Kiyotaka Ayanokōji, a quiet and unenthusiastic boy, who is not good at making friends and would rather keep his distance, but possesses unrivalled strength and intelligence. However he is a student of Class-D, where the school dumps its inferior and incapable students. But the situation begins to change and he starts to get involved in many affairs , after meeting Suzune Horikita and Kikyō Kushida, and his thought of an normal high school life begins to get dispersed.
7. HAJIME NO IPPO
The anime follows the story of a high school student Ippo Makunouchi , as he dreams about becoming a boxer and in his boxing journey he wins many titles and defeats various strong opponents. In my opinion it is underrated.This anime is damn good and entertaining.
8. SLAM DUNK
Hanamichi Sakuragi is very unpopular with girls and have been rejected an astonishing fifty times as he is arrogant and always involved in fights. In his first year at Shohoku High School, he meets Haruko Akagi, the girl of his dreams, and is overwhelmed with happiness, as she is not scared of him like all the other girls he has asked out. Haruko, recognizing Sakuragi's athleticism and potential , asks him to join the Shohoku basketball team.This anime is pure gold. It doesn't bore you especially the characters.
9. COWBOY BEBOP
Set in the year 2071, this anime follows the lives of a bounty-hunting crew travelling aboard a spaceship, the Bebop. This is a certified classic and inspired mostly from science fiction, Western, and noir films. But this anime has done a great job in representing the theme of loneliness, depression and the inability to escape one's past
10. HAIKYUU!!
The story follows Shoyo Hinata, a short statured boy determined to become a great volleyball player despite his obstacles. This anime is worth binge watching.This is one of my most favourite sports anime.
11. KILL LA KILL
The series follows an errant schoolgirl Ryuko Matoi and she is in search for her father's killer, which brings her into violent dispute with Satsuki Kiryuin, the student council president of Honnouji Academy, and her mother Ragyo Kiryuin's fashion empire. Ryuko, Satsuki, and others gain martial arts superpowers from their clothes, which have a will of their own.
12. FOOD WARS
This anime focused on Soma Yukihira , an aspiring chef who enrolls in an elite culinary school where students take part in cooking competitions. Don't ignore it just because of its name. The cooking competitions are as good as shounen fights.Also this anime has lot of ecchi stuff so it's worth watching for all men of culture.
13. DEATH NOTE
The series centers around Light's Yagami , a genius boy who finds a Death Note and uses it to create a crime-free society, using the alias of a god-like vigilante named "Kira", and efforts of the Japanese police task force, led by secret detective L, to catch him.In terms of plot twist, suspense and thrill death note is best.
14. ONE PUNCH MAN
As the name suggests ,this anime follows the story of Saitama, a superhero who can defeat any opponent with a single punch and gets bored from lack of challenge.
15. CODE GEASS
This anime focused on prince Lelouch vi Britannia, who obtains the "power of absolute obedience" from a mysterious woman named C.C. By using this power, known as Geass, he declares a rebellion against the Britannian Empire, commanding a series of mecha battles.
16. GREAT TEACHER ONIZUKA
The story is about a 22-year-old ex-bosozoku member Eikichi Onizuka, who becomes a teacher at Holy Forest Academy, a private middle school in Tokyo.
17.JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE
The series is divided into nine different story arcs, each following a new protagonist bearing the "JoJo" nickname.
The characters and the fights are completely bizarre. You'll get attracted by the unique character design and their personalities created by it's creator Hirohiko Araki.
18.PARASYTE THE MAXIM
The series follows Shinichi Izumi, a high school student , who is the victim of a parasyte organism failed to take over his brain. Instead the parasyte landed in his hand and matured partially up his arm.This anime is great for binge watching. Soundtracks of this anime will stuck in your head. Overall you won't get bored during watching it.
